Transcript of GRO Marriage Certificate

  

For reasons unknown, Charles John TURNER appears to have married Alice Jane SPURR twice.  He used his mother's maiden surname (and a fictional father) for the first, and his proper name for the second.  His bride's mother and stepfather were the witnesses on both occasions.  Both marriages were spotted by his 2 x great-granddaughter, Christine Frost, who purchased both certificates.
