From the London Gazette, Bryan v. O'Neill, 1841




The significance (and outcome) of the legal proceedings described below is not yet known, but the notices at least provide fairly accurate dates of death for both James & Sarah Mills.  The two parties in the proceedings are presumed to be two of their daughters — Emily, wife of Edward Bryan, and Hannah, wife of James Augustus O'Neill.

  PURSUANT to a Decree of the High Court of Chan-
cery, made in a cause Bryan against O'Neill, the
creditors of James Mills, late of Drury-lane, in the county
of Middlesex, Chandler (who died in October 1826), and
of Sarah Mills, late of the same place, widow of the said
James Mills (who died in or about the month of January
1839), are forthwith, by their respective Solicitors, to come
in and prove their debts before William Wingfield, Esq. one
of the Masters of the said Court, at his chambers, in South-
ampton-buildings, Chancery-lane, London, or in default
thereof they will be excluded the benefit of the said
Decree.

of James Mills, late of Drury-lane, in the county of Mid-
dlesex, Chandler, who were living at the time of his death
(which happened in or about the month of October 1826), or
the legal personal representatives of such of them as have
since died, are forthwith, by their Solicitors, to come in
before William Wingfield, Esq. one of the Masters of the
said Court, at his chambers, in Southampton-buildings,
Chancery-lane, London, and prove their kindred or repre-
sentation, or in default thereof they will be excluded the
benefit of the said Decree.
