Occupation
1749 Cordwainer (marriage register)
[8557] Source: Assumed from the fact that he was, "of St Edmondbury In Suffolk" at his marriage

The entry reads -
"March ye 2nd 1748/9
Thomas LUCAS of St Edmondbury
In Suffolk Cordwainer a Batch
And Eliz HAGER of Tharfield in
Hertfordshire Spinster"
The daughter (bp.1723) of William & Martha HAGGER was the only 'Tharfield' Elizabeth
who could have married Thomas LUCAS. There was another Elizabeth, the daughter
(bp.1728) of Thomas & Sarah HAGGER, but she married Thomas HOLLOMAN at Therfield
in 1753. This fact is confirmed by her father Thomas HAGGER's will, which names his daughter Elizabeth HOLLIMAN as
a beneficiary.

Source: Approximate year of birth only, calculated from:
1871 census of Therfield, Hertfordshire
- aged 28, born Therfield [birthplace error?]
1881 census of Therfield, Hertfordshire
- aged 34, born Royston, Hertfordshire [age looks rather suspect?]
