Notes: At one time, there was some confusion about Matilda's surname.
At her 1880 marriage to George WITT, her surname was CONELLY, but at the birth
of daughter Maud Florence, she was CONWAY. Further research suggests that
CONWAY must be an error, and that Matilda was definitely a CONNELLY, or a spelling
variant of it, e.g. CONNOLLY, CONELLY, CONLEY, etc.
