Sophia ULLINGER, Stepney, 1c 424"
[5000] Source: Scanned copy of baptism register at www.ancestry.co.uk. Elizabeth Sophia was recorded as the daughter of John Frederick (a coal heaver) & Jane Freshwater ULLINGER of 77 Gill Street. For reasons unknown, John Peter ULLINGER regularly called himself John Frederick, so the mis-named father is no surprise, but the mother's name looks like a gross clerical error. She must have been Emma Louisa ULLINGER, who had married John Peter only two months earlier.

[11485] Source: Marriage register (image online at www.ancestry.co.uk). The bride's father was William Francis WEBB, a house decorator. Before this marrage register was discovered, David Pracy had found a record (at the Vestry House Museum, Walthamstow) of George Thomas & Eliza Matilda PRACY living at 178 High Street, Walthamstow, in 1921 - thus providing the vital clue to George Thomas PRACY's 1907 bride's name.
