[6212] Source: Scanned copy of baptism register, online at Ancestry.co.uk. Parents were James (a woollen draper) & Alice PARKINS, of 17 Aldgate.
[11360] Source: IGI online [spotted by Natalie Witt, and subsequently confirmed at FreeBMD - where the groom is erroneously recorded as William Will PARKINS]. William & Sarah are reputed to have had at least 14 children, but so far only 3 have been definitely identified by Gina Greenwood, who descends from Sarah Ann PARKINS b.1862.

Source: Approximate year of birth only, calculated from the census 1851-1901.
Although known by the surname RIDGWELL (or a variant spelling of), it is unlikely
that William was the son of Charles RIDGWELL, especially as he was born 4-5 years
before his mother married Charles RIDGWELL. On William's marriage certificate,
his father is recorded as "Mother - Harriet Rebecca RIDGEWELL", which (strange
entry) must indicate that Charles RIDGWELL was NOT his father, despite the fact
that William adopted his surname.
