[9341] Notes: Named as a beneficiary in her great-uncle Edward PRASCEY's will, proved in 1780. Also named as a beneficiary, as one half of 'Mr & Mrs GERARD of Windsor', in her uncle Jonathan SILLS' will, proved in 1800. Uncle Jonathan's will also includes a bequest to "John ALLEN of Henley on Thames and also to his Wife and five Daughters", but the daughters are not named, and may or may not have been intended to include Sarah, Unless Jonathan SILLS intended to make a 'double bequest' to Sarah, then she possibly had another sister. Also a beneficiary in her father John ALLEN's will, proved in 1814, which records her (with misspelt surname) as, "my Daughter Mrs Sarah Garrat Widow of Mr Charles Garrat".

[11796] Notes: The baptism register records that Eva Sarah TRANCHARD was the daughter of Henry TRANCHARD, a mason, and Olivia Emma TRANCHARD, his wife, but the identity of the child's father is debatable. No evidence can be found for the existence of a Henry TRANCHARD in Jersey (apart from Olivia's 15 year-old nephew, Henry James), and Olivia Emma was recorded as unmarried at the 1891 census, despite the presence of daughter Eva.
