[9271] Notes: Named as a beneficiary in her father Jonathan SILLS' will, proved in 1800. The will also appoints (with permission) Mr & Mrs Thomas GOULDING as "... Trustees for and Guardians to my said Grandson Edward Sills until he attains the Age of twenty one or twenty five Years as to them shall seem most proper". The grandson of Jonathan SILLS must be Elizabeth's nephew, Edward Molineux SILLS (b.1787), son of her brother, Edward Prascey SILLS, by his first wife, Sarah (CLARKE). From this distance, we cannot know why Jonathan SILLS inserted this clause in his will, but it may have been because Edward Molineux did not get on with his father's second wife, Barbara (BEARD). Sadly, Edward Molineux SILLS died in 1804, aged 16.
