In the Name of God Amen

I Edward Prascey of Whitchurch in the County of Oxford

Gentleman do make this my last Will and Testament Whereas

I am intitled to the sum of three hundred pounds upon and

by virtue of a Mortgage from Henry Clark of a Brewhouse
  Malthouse and other premises and also to the sum of three
  hundred and seventy pounds upon and by virtue of a
  Mortgage from John Allen of a Messuage or Tenement in
  Henley upon Thames and also of in and to certain Sums
  in three per centum consolidated Bank Annuities Now I
  the said Edward Prascey do hereby give and bequeath unto
  my Wife Sarah Jonathan Sills of Upper Thames Street London
  Merchant and John Allen of Henley upon Thames in the
  County of Oxford Tallow Chandler the said Sums of three hundred
  pounds and three hundred and seventy pounds so due by Mortgage
  and also the sum of two thousand three hundred pounds three per
  Centum Consolidated Bank Annuities upon Trust that they do and
  shall permit and suffer my said Wife to receive the Interest and
  Dividends thereof for her life or pay the same to her And from and
  after her decease as touching the said three hundred pounds upon
  Trust to pay the Interest thereof to Jane Clark Wife of the said
  Henry Clark for her life And from and after her decease Upon
  Trust to pay unto her Son Henry One hundred pounds part of the
  said principal Sum of three hundred pounds together with Interest
  for the same when he shall attain his Age of twenty one years and
  upon further Trust to pay unto Elizabeth the Daughter of the said
  Jane Clark the remaining two hundred pounds with Interest for
  the same when She shall attain her Age of twenty one years but
  in case either of them shall die under twenty one years of Age

then upon Trust to pay the whole to the Survivor And as
  touching the said Sum of three hundred and seventy pounds
  from and after my said Wife’s decease I do give the same to the
  said John Allen his Executors and Administrators and do request
  my other Trustee and Executor to Release and discharge him

therefrom And as touching the said two thousand three hundred pounds

three per Centum Consolidated Bank Annuities from and after my

said Wife’s decease I do give and bequeath the same as follows

one thousand pounds part thereof to the said Jonathan Sills

Six hundred pounds further part thereof to Sarah Prascey

Allen Daughter of the said John Allen One hundred and fifty pounds

further part thereof to Edward Prascey Allen Son of the said John

Allen One hundred and fifty pounds further part thereof to John

Allen Son of the said John Allen two hundred pounds further part

thereof to Richard Allen of Pangborn Watchmaker And the

remaining two hundred pounds to Sarah the Wife of John Keen

of Langborn Smith I give to Edward Prascey Sills the sum of two
  hundred pounds in Money And all the rest residue and remainder
  of my Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever I do hereby give

and bequeath the same unto my said Wife in confidence that She

will dispose thereof to some part of my Family I appoint my

said Wife the said Jonathan Sills and John Allen Executrix and

Executors of this my Will revoking all former Wills declare this

as my last In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand

and Seal the twenty seventh day of August in the Year of our

Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy eight Edwd. Prascey

I Edward Prascey of Whitchurch in the

County of Oxon Gentleman do make this as a Codicil to my

last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is

to say)  I give to my Niece Frances Sills the Wife of Mr Jonathan

Sills the sum of fifty pounds Stock in the three per Cent Consolidated

Bank Annuities Also I give to the said Frances Sills all and every

my Household Goods Furniture and Effects hereinafter particularly

mentioned being in the House where I now live at Whitchurch

aforesaid (that is to say) one pair of Brass Candlesticks two ___

  ______ one small Box Iron two Heaters two Stands four Flat

Irons one Brass Pepper Box one Lemon Squeeser one tin

Bed two Pillows three Blankets and one counterpane thereunto

belonging my half Testered Bed with red Furniture which

is now at the said Mr Allens House one large Mahogany

Table six Cherry Tree mat bottomed Chairs one Deal Table

with worked? and ____ Toilet one small Mahogany Looking

Glass one pair of fine Sheets one pair of middling Sheets one

pair of course Sheets six pillow cases one Damask Table Cloth

two Diaper? Table Cloths one pair of white Window Curtains with

Fringe Mahogany Bureau and the Picture of the said Sarah

Prascey Allen Also I give to my Niece Frances Sills all my

Books and all the residue of my Household Linen not herein

before particularly mentioned and disposed of And I do hereby

ratify and confirm my said Will in all other respects not hereby

altered And I do declare this writing to be a Codicil to my said

last Will and Testament and desire that the same may be added

to and deemed and taken to be as part of my said last Will

and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Edward Prascey
  have to this my Codicil contained in two Sheets of Paper set
  my hand and Seal the eighth day of September One thousand
  seven hundred and seventy nine Edwd. Prascey __  /–/  Signed
  Sealed Published and declared by the said Edward Prascey as
  a Codicil to his last Will and Testament in the presence of us
  Mary Smith  /–/  Thos. Round  /–/
  This Will was proved at London with a Codicil the
  twenty fourth day of May in the Year of our Lord one
  thousand seven hundred and eighty before the Right Worshipful
  Peter Calvert Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of
  the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the
  Oaths of Jonathan Sills and John Allen the Surviving Executors

named in the said Will to whom Administration was granted of all

and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the deceased the

said Jonathan Sills having been first sworn before the

Worshipful George Harris and the said John Allen before the

Worshipful Francis Simpson respectively Doctors of Laws and

Surrogates duly to administer. /
