Notes: Edward Henry TURNER was a Thames waterman, apprenticed at Limehouse
to Charles John TURNER (presumably his father) from 10th February 1885 to 8th
July 1890 [information supplied by Rob Cottrell, from his 'Watermen & Lightermen
Index']. Although Edward married during his apprenticeship, he was mysteriously
recorded as a Galvaniser. 'Lighterman' was originally entered on the certificate,
but has been crossed out.
